Silicone Coated HDPE Ducts The HDPE silicon core tube ,Silicon Coated HDPE Pipe,is a new type of composite pipe with a silicone solid lubricant on the inner wall. It has good sealing performance, chemical corrosion resistance and low engineering cost. It is widely used in optical fibre cable communication network systems for highways and railways. Synchronous extrusion compounding is carried out by three plastic extruders. The main raw material is high-density polyethylene, and the core layer is a solid lubricant silica gel with the lowest friction coefficient. HDPE Ducts are used for protecting telecommunication cables such as copper, fiber optic cables or energy cables. HDPE Ducts are are suitable for installation applications such as standard underground and as innerducts in existing conduits.
HDPE ducts are the most commonly used underground raceway and are packaged in continuous lengths on reels or coils allowing for fast installation with minimum joints. HDPE ducts can be installed via trenching, plowing and directional drilling.
HDPE ducts are available in numerous colors and stripe combinations for easy identification. There are numerous wall thicknesses available as required to meet the particular installation methods and ground conditions.

Silicon Coated HDPE Pipe advantages

The application of hdpe cored silicon pipe
- Adopt the mode of multi-machine co-extrusion, silicon core layer is synchronizely embedded in the pipe. It will be lubricated and not be stripped forever
- The friction coefficient of the inner wall is very small. Optical cable (electric cable) can be repeatedly extracted and tensioned in the pipe. Trough using cable blowing machine, one time blowing length can be 1000 to 2000 meter under normal conditions.

HDPE Ducts are manufactured using ultra-violet (UV) stabilized grade of HDPE with required Anti Oxidant content and other recommended additives. The inner layer of ducts is duly silicon coated which minimizes the friction between OFC and the duct during the process of blowing the cable into the ducts, thus providing smooth installation of OFC in the duct without damaging the cable fibres. HDPE Duct are designed and engineered to house the sensitive nerves of Information technology i.e. optical fibers thus enabling information transfer across the globe. Available as per International Standards or Customers requirements,Most Suited for Pulling Optical Fibre Cable (OFC), Telecom, Electrical Lines etc.
Permanently lubricated HDPE Telecom Ducts have special lubricated compound on Inner Side for Conveying Optical Fiber cables with extremely low friction. Coefficient of Friction between the inside of the HDPE Duct and the outside of the inserted communication cable does not exceed 0.06. Properties of Lubricant are Its strongly locked into HDPE. It has same physical/mechanical properties as HDPE except low Coefficient of Friction value which is less than 0.06. Its evenly distributed around the bore and along the length of duct. Does not react with water, hence it is possible to clean the duct by water stream in case of any obstruction/accident. Have same frictional properties during life of the duct.
